Michael Muller, Director for Business Critical Systems Asia Pacific Business Critical Systems, HP Asia
Michael Muller is the Vice President & General Manager for the new HP Enterprise Storage and Servers, ESG, Asia Pacific. His latest role is to provide strategic direction and management of sales, marketing and operational activity in HP’s newly consolidated enterprise storage and server businesses. This business encompasses HP’s storage, Proliant Industry Standard Server, Business Critical Server and Non Stop businesses. Prior to this Mike Muller was the Vice President & General Manager for HP’s Business Critical Systems, Asia Pacific. Mike successfully oversaw the integration of the HP9000, Itanium, Alpha, OpenVMS and Non-Stop server lines post-merger, into Asia Pacific’s market-leading server offering for customers. Prior to this Mike Muller was the Vice President & General Manager for HP’s Server & Workstation Operations for Asia Pacific. In this role Mike had responsibility for driving HP’s server and workstation business in the region. Prior to this Mike was the General Manager: Sales & Marketing of HP Services for Asia Pacific. In that role he was responsible for all sales & marketing related activities for the service and support business throughout the region. Mike is based in Singapore and has broad experience in working across a range of sales, marketing and management positions within the region. He joined HP in Australia in 1989.

Herbert Zwenger, General Manager, NonStop Enterprise Division, Asia Pacific Region
Herbert Zwenger will give an update on the Asia Pacific NonStop system organization and business structure.

Chris Rooke, VP, Product Management, Marketing and Solutions, HP
NonStop Enterprise Division Business Update
Chris Rooke will provide an update of the NonStop Enterprise Division’s business pre- and post-merger. A high level review of HP business strategy and commitment on behalf of the new HP to the NonStop Servers will be presented.

Paul Brandling, Vice President & Managing Director, HP South Pacific
Paul Brandling will be giving an opening address at the HP-sponsored Monday evening dinner. Paul is Vice President and Managing Director, HP South Pacific. In this role, he has successfully integrated the operations of Compaq Computer and HP in Australia, following the merger in May 2002. In addition to overall general management responsibility for the South Pacific region, he is responsible for driving the revenue and profitability of HP’s enterprise products and solutions business and enterprise customer engagement in South Pacific. He moved into the role from his previous position as Vice President and Managing Director, Compaq Computer South Pacific with overall responsibility for the region. He brings to the position more the 9 years of experience with Compaq and 17 years in the IT industry. His experience spans the entire business and includes strategy development, major merger and integration leadership and organisational change.

Richard Buckle, ITUG Vice Chairman, Insession Technologies
Richard Buckle will give an update on the ITUG organization and insight on ITUG's future goals and initiatives.

Tom Steele, Principal Network Design Engineer, Sprint
Tom Steele of Sprint will present on Sprint's initial use of ZLE and how it has evolved over the past three years, as well as how they see the future for the technology. Tom has more than 30 years of experience with the NonStop platform and has been with Sprint for 12 years. He currently works as a principal network design engineer for the Network Services Computing System's Design Group, where he helps to design and deploy all computing systems used to support the revenue-bearing network. 

Andy Cook, CIBC
This session will highlight how CIBC is using their NonStop systems (ATM, POS, Cardholder Services, Internet Banking, Telephone Banking, and Fraud Detection), the evolution of these systems and platforms in the past few years, challenges CIBC has faced in evolving their services and systems, and how CIBC overcame them, as well as some of the innovative new functionality currently being deployed or considered for the NonStop platform at CIBC. Andy Cook is a Senior Director within e-Channels Technology at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He is responsible for the majority of NonStop Server-based applications within the Bank, including Base-24 ATM, Base-24 POS, Base 24-Remote Banking (Internet & Telephone Banking), PRM fraud detection and Cardholder Services. These systems have a combined peak throughput in excess of 250 TPS.
